Hajj is important because:
Hajj brings all people together, no matter their race, color, culture or wealth.
It is one of the pillars of Islam
Hajj is a chance to wipe clean all of your sins.
Doing Hajj leads to Jannah, if you don't go back to your past sins.
It reminds us about the Day of Judgement (Yaum ul Qiyama) when all people will gather together. Hajj is the same except on Qiyama, we will stand by Allah (SWT).
This is why it's very important to do Hajj (if you can afford it). The rewards are also great (as mentioned in 4. Doing Hajj leads to Jannah, if you don't go back to your past sins.) Please try to go Hajj soon if you already haven't. If you have, then try to go for a second, third e.t.c. time.
